News Flash: Decemberists on Conan TONIGHT

YES! The Decemberists will be performing on Conan tonight circa 1:25am. I'll be up anyway packing for my trip. This'll gimme a taste of what's in store for their Austin set. Tonight's gotta be "Sixteen Military Wives."

UPDATED: They played "We Both Go Down Together." I did not see that one coming at all. Sleater-Kinney played a suicide song too. Interesting. Anyway, the band was right on, and Colin hit all the little drawls he's known for (and his mouth is really big). Support included violin and piano. The crowd really dug it. Huh.
