Second to last "Lost"

You know a show has got its hooks in you when you stop wishing characters would die. Or is that just me? Anyway, since all four characters who left on the raft tonight have been critical to the my enjoyment of the series (in one way or another) , especially Sawyer, I can't root for them to die like I normally would. I can't even root for them to be eaten by sharks a la "Open Water," or get severely sunburned a la "Joe Versus the Volcano." If it were Charlie, Hurley, or Shannon, I'd feel differently. I'd revel in their suffering, screaming "Die, useless characters, DIE!" But not these guys. I like them too much. Walt has superpowers, Sawyer kicks ass, Jin shares my temperment, and Michael was on "Oz". What's not to love?

Tonight's show flashbacked to multiple characters' lives right before they got on the plane. They were interesting, especially the sudden appearance of Michelle Rodriguez, she of "Girlfight" and "Fast and Furious" fame, as a potential romantic interest for Jack. I guess her character died in the crash, but she's too big of a name-actress for just a cameo. We'll see.

The "goodbye" moments were really well-written. Each one left me with a slight lump in my throat, particularly Jack & Sawyer, and Sun & Jin. I've decided that the Korean couple are the two best-looking actors on the show. As physical specimens, they're just gorgeous. Boy, that'd be a great pick-up line wouldn't it? "Hey baby, did anyone ever tell you what a gorgeous physical specimen you are?" SMACK.
